Hot on the heels of a superb Gershwin disc, Bollani and Chailly bring the same verve and excitement to an eclectic programme of jazz-inspired works. If Ravel’s G major concerto can’t quite hold its own with the finest on record, the performance of de Sabata’s multi-coloured Thousand and One Nights suite alone is worth the price of admission, and miniatures by Weill and Stravinsky leave one wanting more.
