And yes these concertos are grand! Schneider and his excellent players present yet another varied and involving sequence of works reminding one, if needed, just how inventive and resourceful the prolific Telemann was. Without a single weak link in soloist or ensemble, we shouldn’t be forced to wait too long for volume two.
