Boesch and Martineau complete their highly-regarded series of the three schubert cycles, cleverly separating the Heine settings from the Rellstab with the inclusion of five Goethe songs. Boesch perfectly captures the resigned strength of the late masterpieces, if perhaps without the same vivid responsiveness that marked Winterreise for the same label.
