Another talented young ensemble tackles Janáček’s pair of masterpieces: the Dorics’ approach is warm and elegiac rather than vivid (Pavel Haas Qt) or quicksilver (Jerusalem Qt), but its thoughtfulness pays many dividends. Martinů’s third quartet is a welcome (if not very generous) bonus, approachable and energetic. Fine sound.
