Belief that sanity and tradition still obtain in Germany where plainsong is concerned is restored by the Choralschola of former members of the Regensburger Domspatzen in Cantate Canticum Novum. Their exemplary quality of committed vocal release, especially in the tracks recorded live during the liturgy, should be a reproach to those who think that it is enough merely to croon their way through the Liber Usualis.
