The Dunedin consort’s Dutch-Italian leader steps into the limelight for fresh, scrupulously-detailed accounts of the two solo concertos and the double concerto (with violinist Huw Daniel). The disc opens with the concerto for violin and oboe, in which she is joined by her father Alfredo, whose singing tone and insightful ornamentation is a perfect match for his daughter’s. Butt provides lively, pointed accompaniment matched by a faultless surround sound recording.
