The women of Mulierum Schola Gregoriana Clamaverunt Iusti sing Gregorian chant with superb legato, blend, and a tasteful touch of portamento in Martyrum Polonorum Laudes placing sense of text and its prayerful intent above all. Their medieval Polish repertoire is contrasted with recent a cappella works by Dutkiewicz, Sławecki and a beguilingly lyrical Mass by Łukasz Urbaniek in gritty performances from one of Warsaw’s university choirs and the Orchestra Nova et Vetera.
