Keith’s light, poised voice is heard to good effect here in this first volume of Bach’s cantatas for solo soprano. In Ich habe Genug (here the high version with flute), this very lightness of texture engenders real clarity, helped with a generally impressive one-to-a-part ensemble. If the ear misses a certain depth, there is no doubting her commitment. This is especially true in the delightful wedding cantata O holder Tag erwunschte Zeit, one of Bach’s longest, which sustains attention throughout. Excellent sound and presentation.
