There is much here to admire – a wonderful tone and idiomatic poise from this award-winning Pole. What these ears miss, however, is the last word in imaginative response to pieces which, presumably, are important to this talented young artist: this is not as essential listening as his acclaimed readings of the concertos and preludes.
